Once heard a pretty cool marketing dude say “Want someone to buy? Give them a good reason to” (that cool guy was me).

Which sounds like common sense… But you’d be surprised how many business owners don’t implement this - and I guarantee they’re missing out on massive revenue.

If you’re showing your marketing stuff to get customers, ads, videos, posts, whatever that may be, this is something that I’ve seen changed how businesses do their marketing.

It’s arguably the most crucial aspect in any ad… The Offer (intense background music). I’ll show you how that works.

I was doing my daily analysis of marketing examples from businesses I come across. The guy owns a professional cleaning company, he’s advertising to clean solar panels.

I’m no solar panel expert, but I guarantee these principles apply to any industry.

His ad says:

“Dirty solar panels cost you money! Call now [number].”

It doesn’t give people a reason to call or say yes to whatever you’re offering.

It’s like being a cow farmer, doing cow things or whatever you do, and then paying for ads saying “Betty is my favorite cow! Call now!”

Easiest way to improve this? Give them an awesome reason to buy.

For example, back in the solar panel ad you can say:

“We can professionally clean your dirty solar panels! Fill out the form below to schedule a free quote”

As basic as that may sound… it’s the essential fundamental aspect of ads. Super simple, but so many businesses lose money because of this.

We're just getting started, this isn't even the mega advanced stuff yet.

It’s the same misconception in “brand building” ads that businesses run to get “awareness”.

Imagine Coca-cola running their 634 million dollar ad on TV, with a polar bear doing backflips, they’re basically saying “WE’RE COCA COLA”.

And when businesses try the same thing by shouting their brand name - or a more common example…

putting their logo or company name as big as possible on their website, people don’t have a good reason to say yes.

That's why in every ad. Every message that you say, give people a reason to say yes to what you offer.
